REPORT:
Dr.WasundharaBhad (Patil), Dean, Government Dental College spoke few Valuable words and also encouraged all the students. Dr. Kavita Wadde, HOD Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Welcomed the Speakers and all the Delegates. Welcome Address and Orientation about the activities planned was given by Dr. Sameer Khaire, Dept. Of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Introduction about the Guest Speakers was given by Dr. Vishnu Panicker, a First-year Post-Graduate Student of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The lecture was taken by Dr. Poornima Sonkamble on Basic Life Support and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation where undergraduate a students were equipped with knowledge and skills regarding Basic Life Support and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. The students were made to understand their roles and responsibilities in emergencies and made familiar with the standard protocol and its applications in emergencies. The participants interacted with the faculty members and got their doubts cleared. After the lecture, a demonstration about CPR was given by the faculty members on the mannequin which was followed by Hands-on training in basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the students. Finally, feedback was taken from the participants. A Pre-test and Post-test assessment about the BLS was carried out by the faculty members.
A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Vishnu Panicker. The Guest speakers were felicitated at the hands of the Dean, Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai.
