Under the able guidance of our Dean , Dr.Wasundhara Bhad(Patil) mam, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery conducted a HPV Vaccination Sensitization Programme for final year students in LT-2 on 7 June 2024.
The session was attended by around 25 students. It included a short presentation on HPV virus and diseases caused by it and the preventive role of HPV vaccine, which was delivered by Dr Prathamesh.
The role of the HPV vaccine in preventing various diseases, including cervical cancer, was emphasized and the queries of the students were well answered to by Dr. Samir Khaire and Dr. Prathmesh.
Students were encouraged to inform about their willingness to take the vaccine in next few days,so that arrangements could be made for the same.
Dr. Kavita Wadde, Dr. Samir D. Khaire, Dr. Monali Patil, Dr. Prathamesh from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Mrs Meghamala took efforts to ensure that the program was conducted smoothly.
