It is with great pride that we inform you that our event OROSCULPT: Uneven Faces, United Solutions… a Symposium on Facial Deformity conducted on 11/2/2025, marking the inception of our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon’s Day celebration, was a huge success.

Our event was graced by the presence of DMER authorities Dr. Ajay Chandanwale (Director of DMER) and Dr. Vivek Pakhmode (Joint Director of DMER). We were also delighted to host the President of AOMSI Maharashtra State Chapter – Dr. Ramakrishna Shenoi.

With the avid support of our Dean Dr. Wasundhara Bhad Patil, we welcomed Veteran Alumni OMF Surgeon Dr. Dabir and esteemed colleagues of the field , Dr. Mukul Padhye and Dr. Jayesh Vahanwala and Dr. Heemanshu Dave.

We saw active participation from both the Oral Surgeons and Orthodontics community. We also saw active engagement from undergraduate students as well as interns. There were engaging talks covering the theme of our event- Dentofacial Deformity.

There were engrossing lectures of Diagnosis and Treatment Planning. Our speakers shared their knowledge and experience on the topics corrective maxillary and mandibular surgeries and students were explained about the digitization of treatment workflow in our field.

We also held a session realizing and promoting the importance of Mental Health Wellness in students which was given by Dr. Richa Pampaliya (Asso. Prof Dept of Psychiatry)

The scientific session concluded by a brain- storming panel discussion session where all the esteemed speakers put forth their views and advocated their practices on the subject.
