The goal of the faculty is to impart in-depth knowledge of the biological and mechanical principles governing the practice of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and to allow students to develop excellent proficiency in Orthodontics. Faculty motivates the students to think radically in a research-driven innovative approach towards the subject.

Academic objectives are to provide the residents with a well-balanced educational experience, integrating a strong foundation in the basic sciences. Seminars are conducted regularly and critical discussions help the students imbibe qualities of effective presentation within a stipulated timeframe.

The liberty and guidance to explore a vast variety of techniques, mechanics and recent advances in orthodontics enriches the students with profound clinical expertise. The students are allotted cases of various malocclusions which goes a long way in assisting them with the challenges of future clinical practice. Treatment planning is the asset of every orthodontist and it is importance is inculcated during case presentations, regular progress case discussions, and debatable treatment options along with justification and supporting case reports.
