World Environment Day 2025 Celebration…..

The Desire Green Committee of GDCH Mumbai celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event was graced by the presence of Honourable Commissioner Dr. Nivatkar Sir, Respected Dean Dr. Wasundhara Bhad Madam, Vice Dean Dr. Dimple Madam, all the Heads of Departments, staff, and students.

The highlight of the event was a tree plantation drive, where the dignitaries and participants planted saplings of the trees. This symbolic act emphasized the importance of nurturing our environment and promoting sustainability.

After the tree plantation, students were sensitized about the significance of World Environment Day and this year’s theme, “Combat Plastic Pollution.” A wilful oath was taken by all participants to safeguard the environment, emphasizing the need to not only clean our surroundings but also to change the mindset of people who prioritize convenience over the well-being of our planet.

The Desire Green Committee extended its gratitude to the honourable commissioner, respected dean, vice dean, HODs, staff, and students for their active participation and support in making this event a success.The event served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to protect our planet and promote sustainability.
