Under the guidance of the President of GDC Alumni and Dean Dr. Wasundhara Bhad, the 97th establishment day of Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai was celebrated on 28th February 2025. The program was scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in LT 2. It was conducted in the presence of GDC Mumbai Alumni Association Secretary Dr. Rajesh Gaikwad, Treasurer Dr. Girish Patil, Vice Dean Academic Dr. Dimple Padawe, Vice Dean Administrative Dr. Easwaran Ramaswamy and all the Head of Departments.The program started with Deep Prajwalan and felicitation of all the GDC alumni followed by President’s Address.
The Guest of Honour was Dr. Jaya Bhatia and
Chief guest was Dr. M K Prakash.
The release of Mumbai GDC times was conducted by Dr. Tabita Joy and the release of SciDent Scribes’24 was conducted by Dr. Arti Gangurde. It was followed by the alumni talk by speaker of the day, Dr. Subodh Nanavati on the topic “Management of Oral Submucous Fibrosis- A Comprehensive approach”.
The event was later concluded by vote of thanks and national anthem. The event was captured by photographer Mr. Rohit and hosted by Dr.Vaibhavi Karekar and Dr. Harmandeep Dhaliwal. The event received enthusiastic participation of many GDC alumni, staff and students.
