Institutional Innovation Committee, Research and Development Committee and Internal Quality Assurance Committee of Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai collaborated to carry forward the legacy of Esplora, which was started on 5th April, 2024. The second edition of the Research based event was “A Lecture Series on -‘Research Code of Conduct.” Starting on 24th September with our Respected Dean Dr. Wasundhara Bhad (Patil) Madam’s addressal to the audience while explaining “Why….. Re…..search”, the Reason for Research. The event was graced by the eminent speakers Dr. Dimple Padawe, Dr. Manoj Ramugade and Dr. Jyoti Wankhade. Dr. Pankaj Gupta, as guest speaker took a hands on lecture on Artificial Intelligence in Research.
The second day of the event was helmed by as much energy as the first day and Dr. Tabita Joy, Dr. Vijayalaxmi Nimma, Dr. Arti Gangurde, Dr. Manish Chauhan and Dr. Easwaran Ramaswami kept up the scientific temperament with their informative sessions. From ethics of Research to ethics of publication, from informed consent, rights of humans to animal rights in research, all the nuanced topics were covered in a manner that left the audience eager to delve into the minute intricacies of Research.
The event was specifically designed keeping in mind the research learning needs of the Post-graduates and faculty and was executed with the inputs from the Respective Committee members, students and faculty. Certificates of participation and appreciation were awarded to boost the morale of the attendees and acknowledge the hard work of the speakers and Organisers. This was a first of its kind event where undergraduate student members took the charge of management of the entire event under the guidance of committee members and managed it phenomenonally.
The event was concluded with a vote of thanks presented to every contributing body and valuable words of encouragement from the audience and most Revered Dean Dr Wasundhara Bhad (Patil) Ma’am.
